Creating Your First Story

When you first join a network marketing company, you’re all excited with First Network Marketing Checkvisions of huge residual checks being delivered each month to your mailbox. But as time goes by, this excitement can start to wane, if you didn’t create a big splash in the beginning.

Your first story is important so you can share with prospects what happened to you after you first started your business. People do what you do. Everything you do duplicates - good and bad! So make your first story and the stories of your personal enrollees something you’re proud to share. It makes enrolling new people so much easier!

What’s Your Network Marketing Story?

Everyone has a story about what happened to them when they first got involved with network marketing. Of course, we all want the story that goes something like this…

I got involved in May, and my first check in June was $3,200 for only a few weeks of work. I exposed 40 people to the business and half of them jumped on-board! Out of those 20 people, 4 of them built businesses themselves and have each enrolled 10 new people. My customers are loving the products and word is spreading fast!

Do You Believe in Network Marketing?

Having a strong belief in the network marketing industry and your specific company is critical to your success. You have to believe in what you’re doing - otherwise you’re doomed to failure!

So how do you get belief, maintain it, and instill it in your organization?

The network marketing industry has been the butt of thousands of jokes over the years. It’s come under attack by disgruntled distributors who never made any money, by people who work “regular jobs”, and even by the government.

So, in the face of it all, you need to have an unwavering belief in the industry as a legitimate business model that helps people. Network marketing business is a “people helping people” business. It’s not the typical cut-throat corporate environment (or at least it shouldn’t be).

You probably got involved with the network marketing industry as a way to make money by referring others to better, safer, or less expensive products and services. Remembering why you started this business in the first place is integral to your belief level.
